about solani
BUILT FOR
Overload Era
Modern life has changed the conditions in which skin lives. Environmental exposure, chronic stress, disrupted barriers and increasingly complex routines can leave skin in a constant state of response. The skincare category has largely answered by asking skin to do more.
Solani was founded on a different idea. Skin is not failing. It is overloaded.
Rather than adding another layer of correction, Solani creates the conditions that support skin's ability to recover.
A different expression
of a family tradition
For founder Kabir Sawlani, that idea grew from both personal experience and a family history shaped by medicine.
His great-grandfather practiced a traditional form of healing in Sindh. His grandfather became a family physician in Bombay. His father carried that tradition to Chicago, building his career in primary care.
Kabir chose a different path, but inherited the instinct behind it: look beyond the symptom to understand the conditions creating it.
His own experience with sensitive, reactive skin eventually turned that instinct toward skincare.
from curiosity
to the lab
Kabir's first introduction to formulation came as a child through pharmaceutical scientist and professor Dr. Archana Desai.
Years later, frustrated by the options available for his own sensitive skin, he returned to the scientist who had first introduced him to formulation and asked whether they could create something different.
Together, they began developing Solani in its own lab in Oak Brook, Illinois, combining Kabir's point of view with Dr. Desai's more than three decades of pharmaceutical experience.
“Your skin isn’t failing. It’s overloaded. The goal isn’t perfect skin, it’s resilient skin.”
architecture is
the active
Solani does not formulate around a single hero ingredient.
The formula is considered as a whole. Every decision is designed to work together to create the conditions that support skin’s ability to recover.
That philosophy became the foundation of The Solani Standard™.
